A hold-down stake can be used to secure a standard foot to the ground. The foot locating spike lines up with one of the holes in a standard foot.

Taking care not to impact against the Arachnipod foot or leg, hammer the hold-down stake halfway into the ground. Check the alignment of the foot-locating spike then continue to hammer the stake into the ground. A soft-faced or shot-filled hammer is recommended for this task.
