The Advanced Water Rescue manikin is designed to mimic a drowned person in the water and delivers realistic medical
simulation training which prepares rescuers for the real world.
No other rescue manikin provides this fidelity (Realism), with opportunities to practice rescue skills coupled with continuing care in the Hospital
and the Intensive Care Unit. PATENTED
The Advanced Water Rescue manikin floats like an unconscious person but can also be weighted to partially or fully sink to increase rescue realism.
When in water, the hydrostatic squeeze (water pressure) closes a valve within the lung mechanics. Once rescued from the water,
the mechanism releases, creating the movement of the lungs and chest.
Submerging the manikin creates an amount of water in the oropharynx, the middle part of the throat behind the mouth, which can be removed using manual or suction methods.
The drowning mechanism even allows the manikin to create foam to replicate the noises and foaming commonly seen in drowning people.
When people drown, they can inhale about 30 ml of water into the lungs, and the manikin can replicate this phenomenon and allow for dry lung drownings.
The manikin, which is patent-pending, has taken two years of research and development to perfect.

- it floats like an unconscious person but can also be weighted to sink or increase rescue realism.
Pockets on arms, legs, chest, and back allow additional divers weights or equivalent to be added (a maximum of 14kg can be added before the manikin will sink, and we would advise using a buoyancy aid to prevent this from happening).

Supplied with easy drain wellingtons and weighted soft shoes.

Easy access point to reach drainage/fill. A 3-way tube lets you introduce liquid to replicate foaming as part of a wet lung rescue.

*Compatible with the Lucas Chest Compression device with the following caveats:
Open the suit and expose the chest; apply the plunger on the chest. Compressions on the suit will cause wear to the skin
Manikin has been tested for 8 hours with the device. But, the manufacturer suggests limiting the number of unnecessary compressions.
Clean with "dye-free" dishwashing soap - not detergent

TechNOTE - Ruth Lee Training Manikin Coveralls
Ruth Lee is the only manikin manufacturer that provides clothing with their products. All Ruth Lee Rescue Training Manikins include coveralls.
Manikins 44 lbs and up also include lug sole boots. None is found on Bullex products, and Simulaids only adds thin gym shorts.
While the strength-reinforced coveralls protect the manikin, they are NOT deemed Wear-proof.
Their specific design is to provide a replaceable, washable layer that helps protect the manikin.
The coveralls are designed to wear and must be replaced to protect the manikin carcass.
Use of the manikins should mimic that of dragging a similarly dressed victim.
The wear resistance of the coveralls should be considered on par with clothing usually worn by the victims.
The included coveralls protect the manikin when used during rescue training.
The coveralls are not designed to endure the rigors of firefighter drags or physical agility training.
The coveralls and boots should be seen as disposable items and replaced when showing signs of wear or damage
to protect the main body of the manikin. Additional clothing is suggested for use in these activities (Even the Combat Challenge dresses their manikins in turnout Gear for this competition).
Treat the coveralls as clothing. They are NOT wear-proof. Protect your investment. This product can expose you to chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer.
