The original Ruth Lee Technical Rescue CPR manikin has been updated to use the GEN2 manikin body for greater durability. This manikin takes CPR out of the classroom and puts it into technical Rescue Training. The manikin will allow for realistic body-weight CPR training in more challenging situations i.e., confined spaces or with the manikin trapped under a vehicle or collapsed building etc. This manikin takes CPR / Medical training out of the clean classroom environment and integrates it into a realistic technical rescue training situation. This manikin can be placed in confined spaces, trapped under a vehicle or train, or underneath concrete or wooden beams, etc.; These are situations where rescuers might come across casualties and may not be able to move them into a 'convenient' position to carry out CPR. This manikin adds dimension to technical rescue and CPR training. The torso isn't fixed to the manikin and can be lifted for cleaning or maintenance. The chest cavity of the manikin is also padded all around to protect the torso when used in difficult situations. The torso is constructed of soft, realistic vinyl plastic over polyurethane foam. The complete manikin is available in 2 weights and includes three disposable / lung airway systems and three channel design mouth/nose pieces. Features include: - long torso for realistic abdominal thrusts
- realistic head tilt and chin lift for opening airway
- anatomical landmarks including sternum and ribcage plus substernal notch.
- easily manipulated airway to simulate airway obstruction or choking situations.
TechNOTE - Ruth Lee Training Manikin Coveralls Ruth Lee is the only manikin manufacturer that provides clothing with their products. All Ruth Lee Rescue Training Manikins include coveralls. Manikins 44 lbs and up also include lug sole boots. None is found on Bullex products, and Simulaids only adds thin gym shorts. While the strength-reinforced coveralls protect the manikin, they are NOT deemed Wear-proof. Their specific design is to provide a replaceable, washable layer that helps protect the manikin. The coveralls are designed to wear and must be replaced to protect the manikin carcass. Use of the manikins should mimic that of dragging a similarly dressed victim. The wear resistance of the coveralls should be considered on par with clothing usually worn by the victims. The included coveralls protect the manikin when used during rescue training. The coveralls are not designed to endure the rigors of firefighter drags or physical agility training. The coveralls and boots should be seen as disposable items and replaced when showing signs of wear or damage to protect the main body of the manikin. Additional clothing is suggested for use in these activities (Even the Combat Challenge dresses their manikins in turnout Gear for this competition). Treat the coveralls as clothing.
