Realistic Flabby Performance NEW GEN2 Style Designed to achieve a 'fluidity of movement' that simulates an obese patient. New carcass/shell made from durable Polyester with four times the strength of models with canvas shell.We believe Ruth Lee Company has achieved just that. The manikins are designed for a team of at least 4-6 people to rescue and are supplied with a carrying sheet to assist in carrying and positioning the manikin. Based on a 220 lb Rescue Training-GEN2 Manikin, the extra bulk is built up with several weighted layers separated by Nylon coated padding.Rather than just adding a 180 lb (or 353 lb) 'lump' of weight, we have distributed the extra weight around the body in 1.1 lb weight packets sewn on layers. The Nylon coating on the padding allows the different layers to slip and slide over each other, creating a real feeling of 'flabby skin.' The neck can fit an immobilization/extrication collar if required - to promote proper casualty care. The 90 Kg Manikin is useful where a lighter weight is required without forfeiting the bulk of the bariatric dummy. | TechNOTE - Ruth Lee Training Manikin Coveralls Ruth Lee is the only manikin manufacturer that provides clothing with their products. All Ruth Lee Rescue Training Manikins include coveralls. Manikins 44 lbs and up also include lug sole boots. None is found on Bullex products, and Simulaids only adds thin gym shorts. While the strength-reinforced coveralls protect the manikin, they are NOT deemed Wear-proof. Their specific design is to provide a replaceable, washable layer that helps protect the manikin. The coveralls are designed to wear and must be replaced to protect the manikin carcass. Use of the manikins should mimic that of dragging a similarly dressed victim. The wear resistance of the coveralls should be considered on par with clothing usually worn by the victims. The included coveralls protect the manikin when used during rescue training. The coveralls are not designed to endure the rigors of firefighter drags or physical agility training. The coveralls and boots should be seen as disposable items and replaced when showing signs of wear or damage to protect the main body of the manikin. Additional clothing is suggested for use in these activities (Even the Combat Challenge dresses their manikins in turnout Gear for this competition). Treat the coveralls as clothing.
